Praying For The Climate Change Summit

Submitted by Nigel Cunningham on December 6, 2009 - 11:00am

The Copenhagen Climate Change Summit starts this week. Political leaders from all over the world will be getting together, seeking to hammer out an agreement on action that will be taken.

One of the biggest problems with this whole climate change debate is the complexity of the issue. There are so many factors thought to be involved in controlling our climate that we just can't be completely sure as to what role our actions do play in the whole issue.

On top of this, the temperature data we do have (and this is only one part of the picture!) only goes back 160 years, and isn't always complete. Beyond that point, we are dependant upon inference and assumption.

Climate Change

Submitted by John Zuidema on December 3, 2009 - 11:00am

During this past week we have seen the federal opposition party elect a new leader and as a result, the Emissions Trading Scheme [ETS] has been rejected a second time in the Senate giving the Government a trigger for a double dissolution and a possible early election.
